Dream Maker Rods – A New Generation

When Rod Hutchinson created the first Dream Maker rods, he set new standards in rod construction. These rods still have an excellent reputation and are considered icons of the art of rod building.

Today, we look back on two decades of technological development with regard to materials and manufacturing processes that have allowed us to create a series of lightweight, yet highly reactive blanks that will once again shake up the standards of rod construction. They are made from Japanese 40T and 24T 1K woven carbon. All rods have a shortened handle with a Fuji DPS-18 Gunsmoke reel seat, Japanese shrink and Duplon wrapping, triple zirconium oxide guides, and black wrapping with green highlights with elegantly simple applications. The models have an action from parabolic to half-tip action with a reinforced spine for extreme casting distances, which you will especially appreciate when casting with PVA bags. Yet any run of the fish is dampened and the hook does not straighten.
